Selflessness

Love, love, sometimes because of so much love, it turns into a dream and ideal but sometimes, it becomes a nightmare and that ideal, becomes suffering only.
I, then, looked for answers and solutions: What is the reason that love can be so light, charming, even as the petal of a rose? But it can also be too heavy to bear and it traps and puts you into a jail, it even suffocates you and does not let you live in peace. And trying to understand, I asked myself: How is it possible that if love is light, it can bring so many shadows? And if it is infinite, how can it makes us feel so small?

I searched for answers in many places, but nothing could explain it, and after traveling many journeys without understanding the mystery, I went back home and I found a flower just before entering my house, a flower that somebody had discarded and without even noticing, I took the flower, that was on the ground as wounded bird because I could not leave it there. I was in such a hurry that I did not noticed that the flower had thorns , which went into my flesh and gave me pain and small drops of blood appeared. I could not throw the flower, I noticed that it still had color and petals, somewhat damaged but still a bud, then, I put it in a proper place, and water it. And it turned into a beautiful rose with ardent lips. This flower had small, sharp, pointed thorns that made me remember the blood in my hands.

I looked at the flower and said: "This is the answer that I could not find before, Love is as the rose and the thorn." And I remained in contemplation.
