In the town where the man called Madman, lives, a Fair of the Science and Technology of the Future, was happening and the organizers, filled with arrogance and boastfulness, declared that the great science of the future, will not be overcome by anything. And thus, they announced a great contest open to all the inhabitants of the town and the question been presented was

" Who can demonstrate that the science of tomorrow is best? "

Fabulous prizes were offered but nobody could claim them because they recognized that the future would be better, nevertheless, the only one who did not agree was the man called Madman, since when he heard the news, he merely said

 " This is false, it is not true."

When the organizers of the event heard this, they could not kept quite since they thought that it would look bad that anybody, even the man, called Madman, presented an objection. Then, they decided to bring him to the fair and to introduce the great inventions of the future to him and to make fun of him.

The day arrived and the most wonderful technological wonders never seen before, were presented, and it was evident that the man called Madman was very crazy.
When the crucial moment came, he was told

" We have heard that you have said that you don't agree that the technology of the future will be truly superior. But if you can prove otherwise
 -and this was said with great mockery, all the business here, their investments and capitals will be transferred in that same moment to you. But with one condition only, that everybody in this town is totally convinced."

Madman, said: "Your technology is meaningful and important in a great way. And I congratulate you over and over again because you have made a progress and I hope that you will keep making progress."

But he was interrupted in his speech and was told: " Oh Sir, you are mad and you are admitting that we are right in front of everybody."

But the man called Madman, spoke again, saying: " No, it is not like that, I have not changed my opinion, I reaffirm what I said and will say again, The technology of the future is extraordinary cooperative and fabulous but how great and glorious may the future be if yesterday would not exist?

Every being who exists here, every being who lives, who lived and will live, will have to be like the most valuable, not of the future, not of the science, of the technology of that great tomorrow. But he will need to have the treasure of yesterday because the foundation of all that we are is found there and who is not capable of looking back is not capable either, of walking one step forward.

The great tops of the trees are supported by their roots, the peaks of the snowed mountains, are supported by its foundations, in the depth of the ground; man is man because of his ancestors. But who is not capable of looking back to his childhood, will not be capable either to mature, of getting old and even die, since how sad is, the one who does not have a history."

After finishing these words, the whole town, became like stunned in silence and all had to recognize that even though the future may be great, the past will always be more valuable.

Madman also said: " You can keep your treasures and prizes because I am immensely rich, I can look back and that's why I can also keep going forward.
