THE WISDOM OF THE MADMAN New 2-7

In the town of the man called Madman, we find him looking at the sea. And some of the townspeople went to ask him something to see what he had to say.
"Let's see what he has into his head, and what he hides in his heart" they said. And approaching him, asked : "Tell us Madman, what's most rebellious, indomitable, uncontrollable and authoritarian for you?"

The Madman stayed listening and thinking as lost in some place and then he answered:
" It is clear, certain and for sure, everybody knows, who wouldn't know? There is nothing as rebellious as time."

Then, the others laughed and said: " Time? How can you say that time is rebellious?

And the Madman said: " Everything may come and go, the most different situations may change, get sorted out, transform. Just look at the wind, the sea, how they come and go. A flower dies, a flower is born. Everything always returns. But tell me, have you ever seen that the past returns?

No, right? Have you ever wanted to stop time and you told it: " Please, let not this moment pass" But did it listen? And when you said:

" Please, do not move forward, stand still."

When you looked at the mirror, didn't you see that time passed and didn't listen? Tell what you wish, ask what you want. It will always do as it pleases. It doesn't matter what you say. You will never be able to stop it. It will never return. It only makes its own path. It is the most rebellious."

And the ones asking didn't have anything to say, they looked at each other and said: " Is he mad, truly mad?"
