THE EMPTY SPACES
The Madman was contemplating a large empty space and he longed in his heart, saying:
"How can I fill it?"
The days and the time passed and he was suffering and worrying about how to fill that empty space. Then, he seemed as awakening from a nightmare and raising his voice to the sky, said: " What madness is this that I have locked up myself into? I have covered the space. The natural common people, lock themselves up in small rooms, they seldom raise their eyes to see the light of the sun and much less they come out at night to contemplate the light of the stars. I don't want to fill the spaces any longer. I no longer want to make a tomb out of life, where it only enters the hustle and bustle of many things. I better go and see the empty spaces and I will discover the importance of the nothing.
And I will laugh and be joyful just for the sake of it. Then, the empty spaces will be filled with happiness."
