There are fundamental virtues in life and today, we will talk about one, which we can say is most important.  Many things have been said about this virtue, some with better luck than the others. By example, it has been said that is internal and external and the truth is that this opinion is not too helpful, it is wrong. The subject is "Freedom" and man is the necessary protagonist. But first, let's define what Freedom is. And I say, let's define, because for other persons, Freedom is something very personal and almost as if the persons would talk about their own freedom, but there is not "their freedom" or "the freedom." 

  Freedom is freedom and it may be possible, that each one experiments it in a personal way but if the primordial freedom is not what we called our freedom, then, in fact, the freedom that we thought was our freedom can be anything except freedom. But, what is freedom ?  Maybe, is everything that I want to do and that I want?  or is the way that I want things ?  is my form of behavior, my intellectual, social, cultural, religious points of view ?  Is the expression of me for me, as individual freedom ?   

Much has been said about this issue but most of the time is a justification, which is an aberration since is a wrong interpretation and compulsion based on the belief that everything that I can think of is freedom.
 The issue is to think but not to think anything.  By example, if I think that death is good. Is it good ?  If I think that people who think different from me, should not exist. Am I free ? Of course not. Maybe I have thought about it and even said it, that is my right to have a free opinion. This is a subject of deep spiritual connotation since freedom, spiritually speaking, is the expression of the Spirit, who far from being conditioned to the body, He expresses his condition in life. 

Then, the spiritual freedom is based in a condition inherent to the universe, which is of been, and of been integrated to everything in existence and this means, not only with what has a transitory form, but as the essence, who is the Spirit. And in order not to complicate the subject of the Spirit,  we define it here as the consciousness of integral good. And by this path, the universe of freedom, must manage, because freedom is not an isolated phenomena, but the group's consciousness, yet, maintaining the individuality of opinion. Nevertheless, this opinion, must not affect the fundamental values of life, since, they are pillars of freedom .

 Every person or individual has commitments, rights, duties and this is freedom.
 Freedom is not to attack the group, is not to consider individuality as an arm of attack in front of a group of defense. This group is not only the human specie, but all that exists.  I am not free if I want to destroy the forest,  to hurt the animals, if I hate or resent others. That is not freedom, that is not even licentiousness.  That is an aberration. Because the principle of freedom is not based on been different from the group, rather in sharing the good for all. Freedom always has a  feeling of solidarity. It always is spiritual.

Let's reflect : If we believe that to be free is to evoke thoughts or feelings which are bad and destructive , then freedom has been completely lost here . Because the one who hates is not free and rancor is slavery . Now , then , this is not going to be easy to understand but by the one who takes meditation as a  source of guidance and transformation . In the depth of this meditation , he will feel that in his consciousness there is no violence , conflict or anything that takes him by the sinister paths of horror .  The person , who meditates , who loves , who prays , will clearly understand that free is the heart of the consciousness that does not harbor not even for an instant , any kind of evil . That person is truly free.
